1) Connecting with female characters in geek television. Very interesting, thought-provoking article. Must-read for anyone who considers themselves a feminist. Even if you're not familiar with the examples (I'm not) it still resonates; you can probably come up with examples of your own. (For me, mine is Marina vs. Saji in Gundam 00. Same peaceful sentiment, but intolerable when coming from Marina and endearing when coming from Saji the haro sex helped I'm sure.)

2) Totally going to do the VOICE RECORDING MEME. Ask me to say or answer anything, and I'll record it all and post my fabulous voice. (Meme stolen from piledriver)

3) I came up with the best poem ever for Lizardmen.

You should totally watch Dr. Who and Torchwood. As it says in the article, the characters are clearly flawed but they are so--sooo much fun. They have helped save my sanity more than once during periods of hate-my-life.

That being said--I'm not a Gwen fan. I'm not a hater, I don't mind her and prefer to read fanfics without her being bashed... but I don't really care for her either. Now Tashiko...I really wanted to see more episodes of her being bad ass.
